We are in a crunch for getting several things done at the moment but we still want to release an update.

Equipment
Possible spoiler for 2021 and 2022. No story spoilers though. It is hard to know what is a spoiler. Sorry.
In the current year's game, "The Dragon Staff of Maladoria", you get some special items occasionally. If you are up to date as of now, you have 4 of these so far. We have had suggestions for creating smaller tokens on these pages so you can keep them together. Â We listened to you. We are doing just that for 2022, but there is more.Â
We will have more items. A LOT more! We have so many that we created an equipment page to help you manage these.
We also had suggestions for increasing the lines and size of the equipment section to help keep track of all the potions and items you have. So we are adding this to the new equipment page.Â
This new page will be in the Hero Book and available for download on the website. Here is the current design. Thoughts?
Choices in the equipment you take will prove key in building and improving your hero.

Sorry for a late update. I meant to get this out last week. We have been really busy in the midst of our work. I hope you have been enjoying the summer so far.

And the official pick for the colors of the 2022 dice are...
Transparent Teal Dice
Tower and Tray
We got a sample of the Tower and Tray as well and wanted to show these off. Â What you can't see below is the quality. It is a thicker and nicer tray than last year. The thickness will help with rolling metal dice. The inside fabric is made of velvet. We have some adjustments to make with making the lines in the logo thicker for a better look. Â And after getting them, we decided the rectangular tray was a better option all around.
Moving? If you plan to move before the end of the year, you can update your address in the survey at any time. We will make sure to notify everyone a week before we plan to lock addresses and ship. This should be in October/November.
Need your credit card charged? When you filled out the Kickstarter and pre-order info you either paid with PayPal or a Credit Card. If you chose PayPal, the funds were collected at that moment. Â If you chose a credit card, the info is on file until we process and charge the cards. We don't plan on charging credit cards until August. Again, we will have a reminder a week ahead of time so you aren't surprised. However, if you want your card charged sooner, send us an email and we can do that for you now. [email protected]
Local Pickup If you live in Colorado and want to pick up your copy and meet us, we will be scheduling a Local Pickup event in November in Colorado Springs. To choose this option and save on shipping, select "Local Pickup" as your "country" for you address from the drop down (weird, I know).

We love Ellen's attention to detail. She manages to take my vague ideas for the scene and turn them into something that feels alive and real. The worlds really come together because of her.Â
What's Next?
The sample for the Dice Scroll should be arriving soon. We have pictures from the manufacture and they look great. Once we get it in our hands and like what we see, we will show the pics.Â
Also, info on maps, combat mechanics, Â items, and markers are to come.

Hero Name
Without delay, the name of our Avian Necromancer is...
Mori'an Corvus
This name only won by a narrow margin. The close second name was Corvix Eboncrest. There were a lot of "Corv..." names suggested.
Dice Colors
We have another thing to vote on: the dice colors. I got some samples of the mini dice in a couple of blue tones. This year, you will be voting on the actual final colors.Â
Use the link above to vote. We will reveal the chosen color in the next update. If last year was any indication, many people will be disappointed no matter what color is chosen. I am really sorry if this is the case. If you stick around and order a Quest Calendar every year, you will get a whole collection of mini dice in all the colors we will offer.

It is hard to select the art piece to feature here. If you are familiar with 2021' Quest Calendar, there are several artists and each has their own unique style. So one image here does not reflect the entirety of the art in the Calendar. Also, I don't want to reveal too much and include spoilers. But here we go. Today we feature art from Jay French.Â
A winged demon descends upon the player.
Jay French is the artist we use for the heroes. He also does fantastic monster detail as well. As you can see, in dealing with demons, this year might get a bit more scary than 2020. My 5 year old saw one of the monsters and said to me, "Wow, Daddy. That's creepy". For those that are sensitive to what their children see, you might want to take a peek at the days before you show them to your kids. Â I am very cautious of this for my young kids, and there is still nothing I would worry about for my own.
What's Next?
The dice colors will be revealed in the next update, along with the Tray and Tower. We hope to have a sample of the Dice Scroll soon. Also, info on maps, combat mechanics, artificer, and markers are to come.

I hope everyone had a wonderful month and is welcoming the warmer climate. It has been a busy but wonderful time for us. Â
On some personal news, we had a new baby born April 7th! Â Here is a shout out to all those that share the same birthday! This is our third. It has been a sleepless few weeks but also very fulfilling. Â I took some time off to bond with her and then jumped right back into work.
We are plugging away on the 2022 Quest Calendar and are still on schedule. There are so many balls being juggled right now: art, editing, admin, production samples, etc. We will try to keep updates to one every 3 weeks unless we have something important to share.Â

Here is a rough guideline on how the schedule will pan out for the 2022 Quest Calendar.
Name the Ne'crow'mancer
We created a survey to name it and selected our favorite candidates from the earlier post. Go in a make your choice. Sorry if a name you submitted doesn't appear. There were a lot of good submissions and we had to narrow it down.
We will reveal the chosen name in the next update.
What's Next?
In our next updates, we look forward to sharing with you the Necromancer's name and the decision we made about the markers. We are really excited about the markers and it deserves an update all on its own.
Future updates will include info on the Artificer, feature our artist's work, combat mechanics, production samples, and details on our new playtesting software we are building. Â

Over then next couple days, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey.Â
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://2022-quest-calendar.backerkit.com
Print n Play
We use BackerKit to distribute the codes to download your Quest Calendar PDFs. An email will go out later in the year with these codes, but you can always return to your Backer Survey to find your code.
Email changes?
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please BackerKit contact support at https://2022-quest-calendar.backerkit.com/faq.
Apple ID users
I mentioned before that those with Apple Id emails on Kickstarter will have trouble receiving this email. I have reached out to those individuals on Kickstarter in order to get your email address. Please let us know your email.
When will cards be charged?
If you pay via PayPal, funds are collected immediately. If however, you pay via Credit Card, we will not collect payment until closer to August. If you have any issues with this, let us know.
Since Paypal funds are collected immediately, it does become difficult to amend your add-ons and other changes.. But contact us and we will work with BackerKit to get any issues resolved.
Dice Tray and Tower
We reduced the price of the Dice Tray and Tower when bought together. You will see this as an optional Add On in the survey. If you included these add-ons in Kickstarter, we have credited you the difference. You can use this towards other add-ons or towards shipping.
Naming the Ne'crow'mancer
There is already a lot going on in this update and it is important to for you to complete your Backer Survey. So we will wait until the next update to release the Naming survey for the Necromancer Hero.
