I wanted to release a short update to give you a few digital goodies while you are playing. I hope you are enjoying playing the 2022 Quest Calendar. Keep saving the realm!
Map of Terralon
We used a tool called Wonderdraft to create the maps in the Quest Calendars. Here is the one for the current realm you are travelling in. Feel free to use it in your own stories for your ttrpg campaigns.

Custom Heroes available

Custom Heroes
We have finally released the rules for the custom heroes. Blank Hero sheets are at the end of the rules pages. You can also use the blank page in the Companion Hero Book. These are available on our website page at the bottom :Â
Warning: Creating your own hero will increase the complexity of the game. While death can be common with the base heroes provided, you may build your custom hero in a way that becomes extremely difficult to survive as you continue to progress throughout the year. It is also possible to discover a set of abilities that make the game too easy and do not offer a significant challenge.
Interesting note: Our simulations, which rely on randomization, found that more than half of all random creations died way more than the acceptable number of times. However, when we planned and picked abilities that synchronized well and had lots of harmony, the simulations outperformed all our base characters... by far! So, customize at your own risk.Â
Also note that we weren't able to test the usability and clarity of these rules very well. So feel free to ask questions.
PDF Request
Some of you had asked to have a format for the PDF where the Resolution page came AFTER the Current page. This is so that for those that don't print can view them in order without accidently revealing the resolution. This is now available in itch.io. Look for "QC_2022_1x1_rev.zip" on the itch.io page :Â
We are always interested in your feedback on things you would like to see different. Please feel free to add those to this form. It can be ANYTHING. From something in the Kickstarter campaign, calendar characters, themes, accessories, colors, rules changes, etc. We read these all and always take your feedback seriously.
This is our last planned update until we announce the 2023 Quest Calendar. We will still be on message boards for your comments and questions.

The Adventure Begins

Wow, it is hard to believe that another year has gone by. So much has happened and there is still so much to do.
Custom Heroes
We are ever closer to releasing the information for creating your own custom hero. It is taking us a little longer because we want to make sure this is right. (We've also been busy with the holidays and fulfillment).
Don't worry, this isn't too late. The first several days of the year have you going through a prologue / introduction which acts a a tutorial for the new players and establishes some groundwork for the story and world you are in. You will be playing a specific character during the first several days and won't need a custom hero until several days in. This is just like last year.
We will release an update with the custom hero information before you need to start with your main hero.
Have a safe and enjoyable new year celebration. We will always be around for questions and help. After the custom hero rules, we will be working on the next adventure. See you in March where we will launch the 2023 Quest Calendar!

This is a bit of a long update, but there is a lot of info here for shipping updates, lost mail, missing and damaged items, and assembling the tower.
Shipping Update By Region
Are we done yet? Yes!... kind of.Â
 US - After two and a half weeks of near constant work in our garage, we are finally done with fulfillment in the US. The last packages went out with the mail pickup today. Everyone should receive their rewards before Christmas.  We shipped out over 4,000 packages and have made good friends with our mailman.
 AUS - All orders have been dispatched. Packages are on their way.
 CAN - All orders have been dispatched. Many of you are receiving them.
 UK - All orders have been dispatched. Most have been delivered. Some may still be in route.
 EU - All orders have been dispatched. Most have been delivered. Some may still be in route.
 ASIA - Orders are packaged up and should be sent out soon.
Tracking Numbers
If you are in the US, your tracking number is located in your BackerKit survey. Â Lost your survey?. We are discovering that our fulfillment partners are sending out tracking info to you guys. So check your mail and junk folders if you are not in the US.Â
I am hearing from many of you that you are receiving your rewards. Lots of packages are still in transit and are arriving every day. Â Check your tracking numbers. If you suspect your mail may be lost, see the Lost Mail section below.
Some of you in Asia and Australia, or those having postal problems may not to get them in time. I am so sorry. We tried our hardest to make this work so everyone could get their Quest Calendar in time for gift-giving during the holiday and for everyone to be able to play before the new year. So many things were out of our control and we tried to mitigate and solve those problems as much as we could. It was very costly in a lot of cases, but we still let some of you down. Last year, it was Covid. This year there were international shipping issues.  We will be taking more precautions and actions to get this done sooner next year to avoid these problems.
For those that don't receive the Calendar when you need it: Â These are not ideal solutions but perhaps you can use the digital PDFs until it arrives. If you planned it as a gift, here is a picture to print out for your recipient:
Lost Mail?
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you can't find it, USPS offers this advice:
Carrier may have placed it in a safer location, please check:
Mailbox
Porch
Garage
Any area out of potential weather hazards
Exterior doors and any locations where the package could be placed
Check your mailbox again as some packages come separately from your regular mail.
Check with others in your house that may have accepted it.
In rare cases, package may show as 'delivered' but could take additional 24 hours. If it has been over 24 hours from the 'delivered' status, to save time a  service request may be sent by email to your local Post Office™ facility for follow-up. You will receive a confirmation number and a contact within 2-3 business days.
We will need to follow up with USPS regarding any missing packages. Once they confirm it is lost, then we can send a replacement. See their site: https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm
I have seen some questions about how to assemble the tower. There is an extra panel that goes on the bottom of the back. It helps to balance and stabilize the tower. If the tower leans a bit, know that it won't affect stability. This thing can stand the weight of all those metal dragon scale dice.

What's Next?
A short Break
We will be slowing down for the holiday. We still have personal Christmas shopping, gifting, cooking and other shenanigans to prepare for that we have put on hold until now. Â Let the holiday stress begin!
We will still respond to emails, messages, comments, and forum posts when we can. We will also continue to send out packages for replacements and other missing parts as well as any new orders.
Custom Characters
We are still working on the Custom Characters. We put this task aside to focus on fulfillment. Â For those of you interested in this option, We still believe we have plenty of time get these rules out before will need them.
